Foot Reflexology

Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a holistic therapy based on the principle that specific points on the feet, hands, and ears correspond to glands, organs, and systems throughout the body via the nervous system.

By applying gentle to firm pressure to these reflex points, energy is stimulated to flow through the nerve pathways, helping to restore homeostasis (balance) and encouraging the body’s natural healing response.

Reflexology works with the body’s energy lines, supporting both physical and emotional wellbeing.

The Treatment.

Reflexology session begins with a consultation, where we discuss your health history and personal goals. This helps me tailor the treatment to your individual needs. Once you’re comfortable, I’ll begin by gently cleansing your feet, followed by a soothing foot massage to prepare you for the session.

From there, I apply carefully tailored pressure to specific reflex points across the feet, using a variety of techniques to create a treatment unique to you.Everyone responds differently—some may notice sensations such as tenderness, tingling, or a crunchy texture under certain points.

These are common and often highlight areas where stress is stored, guiding me to give extra attention.

It is important to understand that reflexologists don’t “heal” clients directly.

Instead, reflexology works by stimulating the body’s natural ability to restore balance and support its own healing process.

Reflexology is believed to have originated over 5,000 years ago, practiced in ancient China, Egypt, and India. The human foot contains over 7,000 nerve endings, each corresponding to different glands and organs—making it a powerful gateway to whole-body wellbeing.
